Making the third sector, a first thought.

Well Placed is a collaborative group, bringing together strategic leaders from across Liverpool's third sector. â€‹We’re here to transform our shared experiences of public sector partnership, with the aim of creating bigger change and better outcomes for the people we support.

To achieve this, we’re investing time and energy in raising the profile of our sector’s work, breaking down misconceptions around what we can and can’t do, and building a simple route into the sector for commissioners and other partners. â€‹At its core, our approach is about relationships.

Sometimes the most important thing our sector offers isn’t a service, referral or plan, but a cup of tea, making time, sitting alongside people, and creating space to listen properly. That’s where trust is built and better decisions start. It’s a way of working the sector knows well, and now's the time to bring it into wider system conversations. â€‹

Our sector's greatest value lies in early stage involvement, before commissioning plans are set and before tenders are issued. We want to be at the strategic table, working with our public sector from the outset, helping them to see the unique role we can play in finding the answers. By moving away from one‑off decisions and short-term fixes, and working more openly together, we can respond to what the people of Liverpool actually need to make their lives better.

It's a time for more conversations, it's a time for more tea.
